Fortunately most of those who will go to this event are probably college kids and twenty-somethings who are too young and are blissfully unaware of the irony. For those of us who remember the headlines made in Sarasota a little over 30 years ago, however, well… let’s just say this is a bold, interesting choice.
“Pee Wee’s Beer Adventure” organizers are selling $55 tickets to a Pee Wee themed beer festival at Tampa Theatre July 30. Guests are encouraged to wear “too-small sutis and red bowties.” Beer samples will be offered from 7venth Sun Brewery, BarrieHaus Beer Co., Bastet Brewing, Coppertail Brewing Co., Florida Avenue Brewing Co., Gangchu Chicken & Beer, Gretchen’s Goodies, The Independent Bar and Cafe, Magnanimous Brewing, Motorworks Brewing, New World Brewery, On the Go Gourmet, Shuffle, Ulele Spring Brewery, and Woven Water Brewing Company.
