Storm Surge Warning For Clearwater Beach
As a disturbance churns its way across the gulf on the edge of becoming Tropical (or Subtropical) Storm Nestor, we’re looking at the affects it may have on Florida.
While there’s a tropical storm warning for the Mississippi/Alabama border to Yankeetown, Florida, there is a storm surge warning that extends into the Tampa Bay area.
According to the National Hurricane Center, the storm surge warning extends from Yankee Pass in the Florida panhandle all the way to Clearwater Beach. A surge from 2 to 4 feet could batter our gulf coast beaches and low-lying areas.
