Florida Student Gives Crazy Reason For Driving Nearly 100 MPH
When you drive at an insane speed, you better have a good reason why. This Florida student had a reason, but perhaps it wasn’t a good one.
Orange County Sheriff’s deputies pulled over a car moving 96 mph west of Orlando in Apopka. Deputies who made the stop said the high school student gave a reason for driving so fast.
He didn’t want to be late for school.
The Florida student was pulled over on Apopka Vineland Road last Thursday morning. The speed limit in that location is 45 mph. This means he was driving more than 50 miles per hour over the posted speek limit. Because of that, he’ll face a fine of over $1,100. He’ll also need to pay court costs.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office posted about the incident to Facebook. In the post, the agency pointed out “This is a good reminder that nothing – even being on time for school – justifies these speeds and the danger it puts everyone in.”
