Tampa Bay Buccaneer Logan Ryan Sponsors Free Dog Training
A Tampa Bay Buccaneer is helping with free dog training for dogs adopted through the Humane Society of Tampa Bay.
Logan Ryan, a safety for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and his wife Ashley founded The Ryan Animal Rescue Foundation. The Ryans’ foundation is sponsoring free virtual dog sponsorships through GoodPup for dogs adopted through the Humane Society of Tampa Bay.
The program runs from July 26 through August 26. Dogs adopted through the Humane Society of Tampa Bay will get scholarships for free dog training through GoodPup.
The dates coincide with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers training camp. July 26 is the first day Logan Ryan’s first training camp with Tampa Bay. Ryan signed as a free agent with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in March. He had previously played for the New England Patriots, Tennessee Titans and New York Giants.
In a release, Logan Ryan said, “This is a way for us to make a difference for a few hundred dogs here in Florida and give them a second chance to succeed while helping their new families better understand their new dog.”
RARF was founded in 2017, and since has expanded to the point where it has contributed over $250,000 for animal rescue services.
