St. Pete I-275 Overnight Road Closures And Detours
For those driving on I-275 in St. Petersburg for the next few nights, beware of overnight road closures.
Work continues on the Gateway Expressway project that will link U.S. 19 and I-275. The Florida Department of Transportation announced the overnight road closures and the routes’ detours for the upcoming week.
During this weekend, the northbound lanes of I-275 will be affected through Monday. September 19. Northbound lanes will be directed off I-275 at Exit 30, otherwise known as Roosevelt Blvd. The closure will take place between 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. (weather permitting). The detour will take drivers eastward onto Roosevelt Blvd. to a U-turn at 16th Court N., then westward onto Roosevelt Blvd. to rejoin I-275 northbound. There will be signage and law enforcement directing traffic.
