Carrie Fisher Roasts George Lucas At AFI Life Achievement Award
We miss Carrie Fisher, who we lost nearly three years ago, but we can remember her from her movies. On her birthday, which would have been her 63rd, we’re bringing back one of her lighter, fun moments.
It was a speech for legendary director George Lucas.
In 2005, George Lucas was given the American Film Institute’s Life Achievement Award. OF course, there were plenty of speakers preceding his acceptance. For example, there were Mark Hamill, William Shatner and Robert Duvall. However, it was Leia herself, Carrie Fisher, who roasted the producer/director that everyone was there to salute.
