Florida’s Columbia Restaurants’ Dates For Reopening

The Columbia Restaurant has announced when each of their locations are going to reopen.

An iconic restaurant from the Tampa Bay area, the Columbia Restaurant‘s opening dates are as follows:

Sarasota’s St. Armands Circle location will open Monday, May 18.

Their Columbia Cafe location inside the Tampa Bay History Center will open Wednesday, May 20.

Columbia Restaurant’s Sand Key, Clearwater Beach location, is set to open Thursday, May 21.

The location in the St. Augustine Historic District will open June 1.

Back to Tampa, the Ybor City Historic District location will also open June 1.

Also, the Celebration, Orlando area location will open June 1.

What’s open, what’s closed in Tampa Bay

Some Florida businesses are reopening as the number of COVID-19 cases begin to go down. Many have limited hours and capacity so it’s a good idea to call ahead.

  • Restaurants

    Restaurants can operate at reduced capacity.

  • Publix

    Share

    Publix locations have returned to normal hours (7am to 9pm).

  • Local Malls

    Share

    Most Tampa area malls are now reopened, although some stores have not reopened yet.

  • Disney Springs

    Share

    Disney Springs will reopen May 20.

  • Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino

    The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino reopened May 21.

  • Florida Aquarium

    Share

    The Florida Aquarium is open. Online reservations are required for all guests.

  • Universal Orlando Resort

    Share

    Parks open June 5 at reduced capacity. Guests must go through a temperature check and wear a face mask.

  • Beaches

    Share

    Pinellas County beaches reopened May 4th. Beaches are also open in Manatee County, Hernando County, and Sarasota County

  • City Of Tampa Parks

    All Tampa parks, dog parks, beaches and year-round pools are open. Certain areas in the parks will remain closed and residents will be required to practice social distancing and gatherings of more than 10 people will not be prohibited.

  • Walmart

    Walmart stores are open.

  • Disney Springs

    The parks remain closed, but some retail stores and restaurants are open at Disney Springs.

  • Trader Joe’s

    Stores are closing at 8pm instead of 9pm. Customers wait outside in a line to keep from overcrowding in the store.

  • Bars

    Bars can reopen at 50% capacity indoors and full capacity outdoors.

  • Target

    Share

    Stores close at 9p daily. They are also reserving the first hour of shopping each Wednesday to support the elderly and people with underlying health concerns.

  • Movie Theaters

    Movie theaters can reopen at reduced capacity with social distancing in mind.

  • Drive-In Movies

    It's a blast from the past and with the current situation, drive-ins in Tampa, Dade City, Ruskin and Lakeland are thriving!

  • Fast Food

    Share

    Most fast food restaurants have returned to full operation, no longer just offering drive thru service.

  • Busch Gardens

    Share

    Reopening June 11. They'll be closed Tuesday and Wednesday to start.

  • MOSI

    Share

    MOSI, along with The Glazer Children’s Museum, Tampa Museum of Art, Henry B. Plant Museum and The Florida Aquarium are closed.

  • Tampa Theatre

    Share

    Tampa Theatre is doing "virtual screenings" until they can reopen.

  • ZooTampa

    Share

    They are open. Advance tickets & reservations are not required but are highly recommended to guarantee entry.

  • Kennedy Space Center

    Salons reopened Monday, May 11.
