Florida High School Sports To Begin Soon
With Covid-19 still having its impact on when and how school begins, the Florida High School Athletic Association voted on when to begin fall sports.
The vote by the FHSAA allows Florida schools to begin practice on August 24 for sports this fall. Among those sports are football, swimming, diving and volleyball. They also voted that games can begin as early as September 4. Students who participate will need to waive the school’s liability for the risk of contracting Covid-19.
Schools will be allowed to opt out of state series or to create their own sports calendars with regional championship games. This will require approval from the FHSAA, and this decision would need to be made by September 18.
Here are some NFL greats that went to high school in the state of Florida.
