The Toronto Raptors announced how they will handle tickets for their “home games” at Amalie Arena to start the 2020-2021 season.
There will be a limited number of tickets available to fans which will begin with their preseason game scheduled for December 18th. Their preseason game, along with the first 11 regular-season games, will go on sale beginning Thursday, December 17th. The team announced there will be fewer than 3,200 seats available for the preseason game against the Miami Heat. Then, the next 11 home games will allow 3,800 fans to watch in Amalie Arena.
No floor seats will be available, and the closest seats to the floor will be a minimum of 30 feet fro the court. All fans two years and older will be required to wear masks as long as they are inside the arena. Surface and air disinfection systems, physical distancing and health survey screenings for all guests entering the arena will be included in the game-day protocols. Cashless payments for parking and food and beverage services will also limit contact. Bags are prohibited.
Tom McDonald, Vice President of Ticket Sales and Sercice for MLSE said in a press release from the Toronto Raptors:
In these unique and challenging times, the Raptors are grateful to be able to work closely with the NBA, the Lightning organization and local public health officials to create a safe opportunity for a limited number of fans to take in games. As the Raptors call Tampa home for the start of the NBA season, the team looks forward to the opportunity to thank the community for their support while continually emphasizing the important steps required of all of us for a full return of fans when it is safe to do so.
Ticket prices will begin as low as $30. Ticket sales begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 17th through TicketMaster. Tickets will be accessible by mobile only.
