Universal Orlando Brings Back Mardi Gras In 2021 With Changes
It’s Mardi Gras, with the entertainment, floats and, of course, beads! What’s new for 2021?
Mardi Gras at Universal Studios Florida will run from February 6 through March 28. Here’s how it will be different than in past years.
There are no concerts planned for 2021. Concerts at Universal Orlando’s Mardi Gras celebrations in previous years include: Sheryl Crow, Chicago, Beach Boys, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Foreigner, The B-52’s, The Go-Go’s, Heart and KC and the Sunshine Band. We look forward to concerts returning in the future!
You’ll still have fun with the costumes, dancers, brass band musicians and street entertainers that are found all around the park.
Also this year, there are no parades scheduled. Spend time up close with parade floats on display throughout the park. Take some great photos!
The Mardi Gras 2021 International Flavors of Carnival will offer food and drinks from all over, including:
- Puerto Rico: Pernil and Mofongo, Picadillo Empandas
- New Orleans: Cajun Crawfish Boil, Beignet, Jambalaya
- Trinidad & Tobago: Pholourie, Pineapple Trini-Chow
- Germany: Pork Schnitzel Sliders, Bavarian Pretzel
- Plus, tastes of Spain, Belgium, The Bahamas, Brazil, Cuba, Canada, Italy, Colombia and France.
To add some extra fun, there will also be a Mardi Gras scavenger hunt.
Temperature checks are mandatory for entry. For safety, masks must be worn unless guests are actively eating or drinking while stationary and socially distanced. Dining areas, both indoor and outdoor, will have tables arranged for guests to be separated enough to remove masks.
