Publix Increasing Covid-19 Vaccines In Several Counties
After receiving more additional doses, Publix is adding appointments to multiple stores.
The state of Florida has increased the number of doses provided to Publix in several counties. An additional 70,000 doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine is being distributed to select Publix locations. Hernando County, Citrus County and Marion County each will receive more doses.
Florida will soon have up to 242 Publix stores (previously 105) offering Covid-19 vaccines. For now, vaccines are still for those 65 years old and up. Appointments need to be made while supplies last. You can visit publix.com/covidvaccine beginning 6 a.m. on Wednesday, January 20 to access the appointment availability.
In a statement from Publix CEO Todd Jones:
“We are grateful to continue our collaboration with the state of Florida and Governor DeSantis as we work to provide the COVID-19 vaccine to as many people who are eligible in our Florida communities as possible. It is our privilege to do our part during this time of crisis.”
