Tampa’s Florida Aquarium Looks To Open New Exhibit
The Florida Aquarium has been open since 1995 and has been growing ever since. Now, there’s a push to open a new exhibit for an animal they hadn’t had on display before.
The aquarium has been home to African Black-footed penguins since 2006, but they hadn’t had an exhibit. Guests could visit the flightless birds in a behind-the-scenes setting.
Now, there’s a push to get funding for a complete state-of-the-art penguin exhibit to care for the penguins. This would also increase involvement in the species survival program.
Sponsorship options for those who’d like to be involved are available. They include different levels of donations that would receive special benefits from the Florida Aquarium.
If you’ve never met the penguins at the Florida Aquarium, there is the Penguin Backstage Pass for guests (for an extra fee).
