Not only are the world-famous mermaids back, but there have been changes and upgrades to the park. Now run as a Florida state park, Weeki Wachee had been closed for a full year.

The underground viewing of the natural spring where the shows take place usually seats up to 400. The mermaid show will have limited seating for safety. Visitors should wear masks and groups are expected to maintain a six foot separation from other groups. Guests are encouraged to arrive at park opening for a chance to view the mermaid show.
Hours are 9 a.m until 5:30 p.m. including the swimming and beach areas. Buccaneer Bay is open daily until March 21, and then until May 29 the slides, lazy river and kiddie pool are only open on weekends. After May 29, normal operating hours will resume.
