Video: Tampa Car Crashes At 111 MPH Into Car Dealership
Florida Highway Patrol dash cam footage shows an amazing display of recklessness and a car in flight.
Sunday morning, a car was clocked at 111 miles per hour on I-4 near Mango Road. The patrolman tried to pull the car over, but as he approached, the car veered off the road, hit the shoulder and went airborne. The car went over a fence and hit a truck at Gator Ford, a dealership off the highway.
There were three passengers in the car with the driver. All three were thrown from the vehicle. One of the passengers did not survive. The driver was originally being charged with reckless Driving and DUI with serious injury, among other charges. That was upgraded to DUI manslaughter. The driver was already on probation for DUI manslaughter.
