Tampa Adds New Amazon Warehouse To Area To Speed Up Delivery

In order to improve delivery services to the Tampa Bay area, Amazon has increased its footprint.

The newest location is a 100,000-square-foot warehouse in Seffner. Amazon plans for the new site is for items purchased for same-day and overnight delivery. “Same=Day” involves qualifying orders that are over $35, and contain items identified on Amazon.com with “Prime FREE Same-Day.”

This new location opened in June, 2021. It follows the addition of a massive “fulfillment center” Amazon opened in Temple Terrace, spanning 600,000-square-feet.

Amazon, by adding additional warehouses, has cut the time it takes to get products delivered. Having reduced delivery time to a matter of hours is pushing competitors who are also offering delivery. Kroger recently began as a delivery service in Florida.

Tampa Among 10 Best Places To Live In USA

The list from Bankrate.com was based upon categories such as costs, education, jobs, safety and quality of life and who is moving to each city. After looking through 50 cities/metropolitan areas, this is the list they came up with.
