South Tampa May Soon Get New Amazon Warehouse

A site near MacDill Air Force Base may become a new location for Amazon.

The S. Dale Mabry location would be a “delivery station.” This is what Amazon calls the last stop products make before being delivered to the customer. According to Tampa Bay Business Journal, the property is nearly 125,000 square feet.

Amazon has been expanding quickly in Florida. The company is looking to hire 8,000 additional employees. That would include another 100 for the Tampa area.

Other Amazon “delivery stations” have been added around the Tampa Bay area to help service neighborhoods faster, including the more densely populated areas.
