An attack on a couple of bicyclists is being investigated by the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.
A couple was riding their bikes on the Fred Marquis Pinellas Trail last week. While near Orange St. and Alternate 19, the bicyclists were confronted by a man. The assailant was wearing cycling clothes, described to be in his 40's, possibly intoxicated. The man physically assaulted the couple.
The man reportedly didn't like the way the couple were riding their bikes. The couple's injuries were not severe, but did not wish to be identified.
Reddit posters have written for years of safety issues. Particularly, be careful and don't go alone.
