Tampa Bay Buccaneers Place Another Cornerback On Injured Reserve
Another of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is headed to the IR after trying to come back from a previous injury.
Richard Sherman joined the Buccaneers in Week 4. He played against the New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins. In week 6, he suffered a hamstring injury that ended his game against the Philadelphia Eagles on October 14.
After missing three games, he was set to return in week 9 against the New Orleans Saints but sat the game out. Then in week 10 against the Washington Football Team, Sherman strained a calf during pre-game warmups.
Sherman joins cornerbacks Carlton Davis III, Sean Murphy-Bunting, Dee Delaney and Rashard Robinson on the injured list. It’s possible Sean Murphy-Bunting could return as early as this week.
This week, the Buccaneers play the New York Giants on Monday Night Football at 8:15 on ESPN at Raymond James Stadium.
