USF Plans To Move Forward With On-Campus Football Stadium
The University of South Florida Bulls have long played their home football games at Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium. Now, the President of USF will now have it as one of the top plans.
The interim president of USF, Rhea Law, has submitted a list of items she’d like to work on. Among those goals is “athletics.” That includes the possibility of an on-campus stadium. The latest USF Board of Trustees meeting took place November 16, 2021. The board discussed a stadium and how it is important for the students and overall experience on campus.
Now, the board’s discussions are about how to move forward. Being an interim president, Law will need to do what she can before a new president steps in. The Chair of the Board of Trustees, Will Weatherford, also is in favor of adding a stadium to the campus “in the near future.”
Here’s the artwork of what a stadium on campus may look like.
