Outback Parent Company Replacing Tampa Westshore Restaurants
Bloomin’ Brands, parent company of Outback Steakhouse, Carrabba’s and Bonefish Grill, is making changes on their restaurants near Tampa International Airport.
The restaurants on Boy Scout Blvd. used to include Roy’s and Lee Roy Selmon’s. Each of them had been previously closed down. Now, there’s an Outback Steakhouse, where Lee Roy Selmon’s used to be, and Fleming’s. Nothing had yet replaced Roy’s. Here are the changes that are coming.
A new building to replace Roy’s will become a new Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar. That construction will begin in 2022. Once the new Fleming’s opens on that site, the previous Fleming’s location will be shut down and converted to become Bonefish Grill.
The staff of Fleming’s will shift over to the new location. The new store is expected to be completed some time in 2023, before the current location closes. The new Bonefish Grill will replace the location currently on Henderson Blvd. We’ll need to wait to find out what Bloomin’ chooses to do with that property.
According to Tampa Bay Business Journal, Bloomin’ Brands plans to continue investing in its Tampa properties, which its home to the company’s corporate offices.
