Tampa Police Looking For Polite Bank Robber
A man who robbed a bank in the Hyde Park area of Tampa reportedly apologized for his actions to the teller.
City of Tampa police are looking for the man who robbed a Fifth Third Bank. He entered the bank, located at 1901 W. Swann Avenue in Tampa, a little before 10 a.m.
The man reportedly was wearing a mask and gloves. He used a note police said implyed he had a weapon. In a Facebook post, the Tampa Police Department wrote that the suspect said “quickly fill it up, quick quick quick”. He then said ‘God bless’ and then ‘Sorry’ as he fled the bank. He made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The description of the robber is a 30 to 40-year-old Hispanic or light-skinned black male. He was wearing a blue/gray hoodie, tan pants, a covid mask “fishing buff” and red shoes.
