$50 Florida Lottery Ticket Purchased At Publix Won $1 Million
A man purchased a Florida Lottery scratch-off ticket from a new game at Publix and it paid off big.
65-year-old Jerrold Ott purchased a new $50 ‘500X The Cash’ scratch-off ticket at a Cape Coral Publix. The North Fort Myers man won $1 million.
Ott chose to take his winnings as a lump sum of $820,000 at the Florida Lottery Fort Myers District Office. The Publix store, located at 1735 Northeast Pine Island Rd. in Cape Coral, will receive a $2,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
The ‘500X The Cash’ scratch-off game was just launched February 28, 2022, with prizes ranging from $50 to $25 million. There are two $25 million top prizes, and both are still out there. The game began with 160 $1 million prizes, and 152 are still available.
