25-Year-Old Tampa Man Wins $1 Million From Florida Lottery

We have another Tampa area big winner from the Florida Lottery.

25-year-old Joel Duran of Tampa won a $1 million top prize from the "50X the Cash" scratch-off game. He claimed his winnings at the Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.

Duran purchased his ticket at the Radiant Food Shop, 4301 West Hillsborough Ave. in Tampa. He chose to receive his prize as a lump sum payment of $820,000. The store will receive at $2,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The "50X the Cash" game is a $5 scratch-off ticket that launched in January, 2022. The game features prizes from $5 to $1 million. There are still 7 of 12 top prizes remaining.
