A Florida Woman got ridiculously close to an alligator that was performing a mating call.

These large reptiles should be respected from a distance. Especially during mating season.

This craziness happened on Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive in Orange County. Our Florida Woman, Evelyn Bell, captured the footage of the alligator growling at the edge of the lake. Check it out:

So we come to find out that the video was recorded from the safety of Evelyn’s car. Still that’s a little too close for comfort for us when it comes to alligators!

According to Florida Fish & Wildlife, it’s still alligator mating season in Florida so that’s why this gator is being so vocal!

Remember: Keep a safe distance from alligators. Not everyone is that smart.

Nobody said Andrew was the smart one, but as you can see, there's nothing to keep those alligators from coming closer to him.

US News Travel created a list of the top #15 beaches in Florida. Of course, the Tampa Bay area has its share of well-known beaches.
