Florida Dominates Best U.S. Cities To Be A Dog
Obviously, being a dog in Florida is more fun than anywhere else! Just ask a dog. Here’s a list of the ‘Best U.S. Cities to be a Dog’.
Honestpaws.com took all sorts of stats in their methodology. Some of those are the number of pet-friendly restaurants, pet friendly breweries, pet-friendly hotels, dog-parks, veterinarians and pet-friendly beaches.
Based on the results of all of these numbers, what cities topped the list? Tampa landed at #1 and Orlando was #2. Miami also represented Florida at #6, giving the state three of the top 10 spots. The remainder of the top 5 were Las Vegas, Nevada at #3, Richmond, Virgina at #4 and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at #5.
Breaking the numbers down a little, Orlando had the most veterinarians per 100,000 people. The city with the second most veterinarians per capita was Tampa. Tampa also has the sixth most dog parks per capita.
On the other hand, where were the worst U.S. cities to be a dog? The cities at the bottom of the list were Milwaukee, Wisconsin as worst followed by Louisville, Kentucky.
