Tampa International Airport First To Offer Covid-19 Testing
For travelers who would like to get tested, Tampa International Airport has teamed up with BayCare Health System to offer two types of tests.
There are travel destinations that require a negative test result to avoid quarantine. Tampa International Airport is the first to offer this service. The airport will have Covid-19 testing for all departing and arriving passengers. The service will be available through the month of October daily from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. on a walk-in basis to ticketed passengers who are flying or have flown within 3 days with proof of travel.
The two tests available and their prices are: A PCR Covid-19 Test ($125) and a rapid antigen test ($57). The PCR test results take about 48 hours. The antigen test results can be back in 15 minutes.

On a much smaller scale, United Airlines began a program of testing its passengers traveling between San Francisco and Hawai’i in an effort to increase the business on their airline. Their plan will not begin until October 15.
