Brandon Walmart Temporarily Closing
A Walmart will close for a few days. It’s another Hillsborough County location.
Walmart made the announcement that their Brandon Supercenter location at 11110 Causeway Blvd. will close at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 10th. It will receive a cleaning by a third-party crew to protect from the omicron variant of coronavirus. This will also allow Walmart employees time to restock shelves.
The store will be closed until 6 a.m. Wednesday, January 12th. This location joins other locations that had been closed for cleaning, including locations in Bradenton, Tampa and Plant City.
In a statement from Walmart:
As an essential business and a member of the Brandon community, we understand the role we play in providing our customers with food, medicine and other essential items, especially at this time.
As you know, several areas across the country have begun seeing a renewed increase in positive COVID-19 cases, and we want to assist health officials working against the pandemic. In support of this effort, we have chosen to temporarily close our Brandon store location at 11110 Causeway Blvd. today at 2 p.m. as part of an ongoing company-initiated program. This will allow extra time for a third-party specialist to further sanitize the store and will also give our associates additional time to restock shelves and prepare the store to once again serve the community. We plan to reopen the store to customers at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 12.
